1:30p to 2:30  Young Adult Author’s Panel
Beloved and award-winning YA (Young Adult) authors Lilliam Rivera, Jennifer Longo and Michele Bacon, share their work and their writing journey with all ages.  This panel will be attended by our island 6th thru 12th graders and homeschoolers. The general public will be admitted, space available, after all students are seated. YA authors will also be holding a conversation on the YA genre and writing during our Family Fest[Orcas Center Main Stage]


More than 30 critically-acclaimed writers and emerging voices read their work at charming venues throughout Eastsound Village.

Kids Open Mic with Novel Lab at the Historical Museum
Young novelists from Orcas Island Middle School, Salmonberry, the Christian School and Spring Street lead a fun and moving open mic, reading the openings to their YA novels created in Novel Lab.
